« The symbolic muting of party spokespersons is at the backbone of this work co-authored by János Borsos and Lilla Lôrinc. Our parliamentary parties are irreconcilable with each other and their very public strife is influencing the discourse and atmosphere of our society. The spokes- persons, Kata Csiba for LMP, Dóra Dúró for JOBBIK, Péter Szíjjártó for FIDESZ and Zsolt Török for MSZP are muted to accomplish what is not feasible in reality: the harmony of their message, in a one-minute (or four times one-minute) absolute silence completed by four tricolors painted in four different tones (Uniform). With the exception of Péter Szíjjártó, all spokespersons agreed to co-operate with the artists and performed the one-minute silent act in the conference halls of their respective party headquarters, in their own element. Due to the circumstances, Péter Szíjjártó has to be presented in a manipulated video until he might accept our request.

Both works were displayed within the exhibition entitled “Immovable Land” in the Viltin Gallery in Budapest in 2010. »
