The Residencies:
The JCE Residencies Program began in 2007, developing a network of working residencies, offering artists stays of 2/3 months in the European partner cities.
The aim of the City of Montrouge, which first experimented with two working residencies, is to promote the artists, spread awareness about their works, and encourage interaction with the public and professional worlds.
The artists are selected among the participants of the biennial, based on candidate projects. The residencies allow them to concentrate on new works during an intensive period with ideal conditions.
The Residencies blog:
The aim of the Residencies blog is to let evryone know more about the residencies. The artists are free to post whatever they want about their residency experience, so anyone should know a little more about their work and their feelings about their Residency in Montrouge.
We have the pleasure to start the blog with the two artists in Residency now: Mauro Panichella and Juliana Mrvová.
