The selection of Lithuanian artists was conducted in spring 2011, while an exhibition at the Center of Art in Klaipeda.
The procedure, which was diffused online, brought more than 200 candidates. Twenty artists have been selected to participate to a national exhibition, chaired by the curator Goda Giedraityte. Finally, the curator selected the eight most promising artists to participate at the JCE Biennial 2011/2013:

The city of Klaipeda, Lithuania’s main port, will receive the JCE Biennial from the 20th of January to the 26th of February 2012.
